Versatile broadcaster Olalomi Ejire is dead

Surajudeen Taiwo Salami famously known as Olalomi Ejire



Prolific on-air-personality Surajudeen Taiwo Salami famously known as Olalomi Ejire with the acronym Okin Oloja is dead. Olalomi Ejire died on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos after a brief illness.

According to the governor Freelance and Independent Broadcasters’ Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), Lagos state chapter, Yomi Mate Ifankalleluyah, his remains have been interred according to Islamic injunction. Olalomi, a presenter, producer and certified media personnel was the anchor of Eko Lawa on Radio Lagos and Ogbon Kayeso on Faaji FM respectively. He was an active member of FIBAN, Lagos state chapter till he died.

Late Salami died at the age of 54. He hailed from Agaka compound, Ede, Osun state.

Osinbajo Sets Up Task Force On Food Prices

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has set up a Task Force to beat down food prices across the nation at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday. Moved by the need to enhance affordability of food prices across country, the Buhari administration has constituted a Presidential Task Force to urgently consider measures that would ensure a steady flow of produce to the market and reverse recent price increases. Giving the directive today at the FEC meeting, the Acting President expressed concern at some of the inflationary rates of food prices, noting that the Task Force will explore options to promote availability and affordability of food items to Nigerians.
