President Buhari Meets With Saraki And Dogara in Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday had a closed door meeting with the senate President, Bukola Saraki and the speaker of the house of representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara.

The president's meeting with Saraki and Dogara started around 12 noon, according to reports.

This is president Buhari's first meeting with the lawmakers since he returned from London.

The meeting is currently in progress at the president's office..

            One of the Niger Delta militant groups, Joint Revolutionary Council (JRC) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to blame his men and not militants for the elusive negotiation between them and the Federal Government. President Buhari had said on Sunday while receiving a delegation of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) residents, led by Minister Mallam Muhammed Bello when they paid him Christmas homage that his government will persuade the militants to sheathe their swords and negotiate for peace.
